Elio Networks (formerly Host Ireland) owns and operates the highest capacity licensed microwave-based Fixed Wireless Access (“FWA“) network in metropolitan Dublin. Providing high quality, wireless broadband to c.1,600 customers, including multinational corporates, government bodies and technology companies.
Elio Networks Business Broadband was launched to address the growing requirement for affordable high-speed broadband in the greater Dublin area. Since then, they have grown to become the leading enterprise broadband provider in Greater Dublin and are continuing to connect businesses from small professional services, retail and hospitality, along with some of the largest multinationals in the world.
This is D9’s first investment into wireless infrastructure and is in line with the fund’s focus on supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goal 9, by providing lower cost and lower latency connectivity to Irish SMEs.
